From its earliest planning stages, Upward Christian Academy has been committed to serving children of all abilities and building a special education program that truly supports students and families. We believe every child is created in the image of God and deserves the opportunity to learn and grow in a Christ-centered environment. Today, that vision is supported through a dedicated special education teacher who provides individualized instruction, dyslexia intervention through the Barton Reading & Spelling System, one-on-one math and reading support, and access to speech therapy services.

Our goal is to help students receive the support they need while remaining connected to the classroom community. Students may receive direct instruction individually or in small groups while continuing to participate in mainstream classroom experiences for much of the day, encouraging both academic and social growth. This work requires additional resources, and if you feel led to support this ministry, we invite you to give online or attend our annual Spaghetti Fundraiser each January, with proceeds helping sustain our special education program.
