Faith Builders Scholarship Program
Upward Christian Academy is grateful to partner with families and buisnesses through Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program, which provides a meaningful way to reduce tuition costs through scholarship funding. These scholarships are made possible by business contributions to the program and are administered through Faith Builders.
Faith Builders Scholarship Program
For families applying for the 2026–2027 school year, EITC scholarship funds can significantly reduce the cost of tuition. We encourage all eligible families to apply, as aid amounts vary and are determined based on available funding and family need. If you have questions about how this may affect your families tuition, please contact us.
At a high level, this program allows business or individuals to make a contribution the Faith Builders SPE (Special Purpose Entity) and receive a 90% PA state tax credit for the contribution! For example, contribute $10,000 and get a $9,000 credit on your state income tax. This money is then sent to a scholarship fund managed by Faith Builders.
Note: The minimum contribution is $3,000.
Families will then apply to Faith Builders Scholarship services before school and scholarship awards are given based on need. Awards given are based on a lot variables such as how much is in the fund, how many families apply, the number of dependents, and the financial situation for the family applying.

Families - Applying for Tuition Aid
Applications are open for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Follow the instructions below:
1) Download & print out the 2026-27 application form below
2) Fill out and submit the form to Faith Builders by web upload, email, fax, or mail by June 30, 2026
3) Faith Builders will process your application and determine your aid before school starts in August. Faith Builders will inform you of your aid amount. The aid will then be sent directly to the school and deducted from your tuition.
Individuals/Businesses - Apply Online to Contribute
In order to contribute to the scholarship fund, you need to apply to join the Faith Builders SPE (Special Purpose Entity). Once admitted, you will then be able to make your contribution. The recommended way to apply is with the online application below.
Contributions made in 2026 and the corresponding tax credit will go towards your 2026 tax return.
Already in the SPE? If you are already an Faith Builders SPE member, you would just need to contact Faith Builders and direct them to send your contribution to Upward Christian Academy.
