At Upward Christian Academy, we believe kindergarten is a foundational year that helps establish the habits, skills, and confidence students need for future learning. Because of the importance of these early years, our kindergarten program meets every day, allowing students to benefit from consistent routines, steady academic growth, and meaningful relationships with teachers and classmates.

In kindergarten, your child will be introduced to letters and their sounds—the building blocks of reading and communication. Hands-on manipulatives are often used to teach the logic and order of mathematics in ways that are engaging and developmentally appropriate. Bible stories and Scripture memorization are woven into the school day as students begin to understand God’s Word and His world. Science and social studies help children discover and explore the world around them, while music, art, and physical education provide additional opportunities for creativity, movement, and enrichment. Through these experiences, our goal is to help children develop a love for learning while building a strong foundation for the years ahead.
