Fine Arts

At Upward Christian Academy, we believe the fine arts are an important part of developing students who appreciate beauty, creativity, and the gifts God has given them. Students at every grade level participate in weekly art and music instruction, building both foundational skills and opportunities for creative expression. Music education begins in the elementary years and includes music reading, rhythm, vocal development, and growing confidence in performance.

As students progress into high school, fine arts opportunities expand through a music rudiments course and a more rigorous chorus experience designed to strengthen musical understanding and performance ability.

Piano lessons are also offered during the school day,  giving students an additional opportunity to develop their musical gifts. Through visual art, music, and performance experiences, we aim to help students cultivate discipline, creativity, and an appreciation for using their talents to glorify God.
