What Happens at School Over the Summer?

School has been out for nearly a month, and while our students are enjoying a well-earned summer break, activity at Upward Christian Academy hasn’t stopped—it has simply shifted into a different season.

Summer is an important time of preparation as we begin getting ready to welcome students back for another year. Over the past several weeks, teachers have been in and out of the building organizing classrooms, planning lessons, and preparing spaces that will help students thrive next year. Carpets and bathrooms are being deep cleaned, desks, chairs, and tables are being ordered, and curriculum materials are being sorted, organized, and stored away from this year as we prepare for what’s ahead.

Behind the scenes, we are also planning special days, events, and experiences to make next school year meaningful, memorable, and full of opportunities for growth, learning, and community.

This past Saturday we also held our rescheduled softball fundraiser—and it was beautiful weather this time around! Thank you to everyone who played, volunteered, donated, and came out to support the school. Congratulations to our tournament winners: Path Valley took home the Composite Bat Division title, while Pleasant Hill claimed the Metal Bat Division championship.
